Climate policies pushed by Team Biden and Democrats are based on bad science, scary stories, and computer models.
They are used to justify more taxpayer-funded “research.” They would require mining on a scale never seen before in human history, much of it done by slave and child laborers, and almost all of it using fossil fuels.
Anti-fossil-fuel climate policies raise energy prices, cause power outages, and kill people.
They make up “scenarios” that say fossil fuel use and emissions will cause the Earth to warm by 4 degrees C (7 F) over the next 80 years, and that Arctic warming will make winters colder.
A recent study by Columbia University says that 83 million people “could be killed” this century because of rising global temperatures. That study was funded by the government. Taking “immediate action” to change our energy and economic systems, we need to use wind turbines and solar panels instead of oil, gas, and coal.
These policies are lethal for people and planet and would require mining on scales unprecedented in human historty, much of it done by slave and child laborers.
However, because the majority of mining and manufacturing will take place in countries other than the United States, politicians and climate activists can claim that this “alternative energy” is “clean and green.”
WTF, can you believe it?!
Worse, climate policies contribute to widespread “energy poverty”, in which energy prices rise beyond a family’s ability to stay warm (or cool) at a fair cost given their income. That means people are going to die.
A report from a London University (2014) shows how energy poverty disproportionately and unfairly affects low and middle income, elderly, fixed-income, and minority families. This results in a lot of unnecessary illnesses, health problems, and deaths.
Even worse, coal, oil, natural gas, electricity, and home heating costs have gone up a lot since the English, US, and German reports were written. This is because of shortsighted, climate-obsessed, and cruel policies.
People around the world were desperate for gas and coal after Covid, but fracking for gas in Britain and Europe was banned, Germany is shutting down its nuclear power plants, Russia is playing politics with its gas deliveries, and UK and EU wind turbines generated far less electricity in 2021 than they should have because of bad wind.
As a result, 65% of UK renters will not be able to pay their energy bills this year, 25% of Scots are living in “energy poverty,” and 400,000 more UK households could lose their gas and electricity provider before Christmas. In Europe, the cost of energy has hit new highs, and many UK households face a 70% rise in their energy bills. Record-setting death tolls in the winter are also likely.
